We presented a case of a mother who, confirmed positive for COVID-19, rapidly deteriorated into a hypertensive crisis (a sudden, dangerous spike in blood pressure). The study emphasizes the theoretical link between the SARS-CoV-2 virus and mechanisms that trigger severe hypertension (high blood pressure) and complications like placental abruption.
